Episode begins with Aditya & Priya continuing to make out in the open under the cover of darkness as Vidya silently observes them. As she tries to move away, the noise of her feet on the ground is heard by the lovebirds. Aditya calls out wondering who was out there and asks why the person was ruining their romance! Not hearing a response, Aditya turns his attention back to Priya while a frustrated Vidya looks back at them.
Seeing Uttara standing outside the house by herself, Vidya's mother asks her to join the group sitting there drinking & chit-chatting. Slightly drunk, Vidya's father expresses to Brahma that women deserved appreciation for remaining hungry & thirsty the whole day just for their husbands. Brahma agrees but adds that there were very few women who truly kept the fast while most just pretended to. Vidya's mother disagrees by stating the no woman would knowingly put her husband's life at risk to which Brahma responds that this might be so in villages but not the case in the cities. Much to Gaurav's obvious contempt at Brahma's words, the latter continues that he is lucky though as his wife regarded her responsibility towards him more than life. Vidya's mother does not understand the motivation behind Brahma's description of the women in the city but Uttara agrees with Brahma before pointedly looking at Devyani while saying that some women viewed their husbands as the enemy. Devyani, smiling ironically, refutes Uttara's words by asking the group to think about how unhappy such women must be to go against their husbands. She wonders why the wife should keep a fast when the husband has made her life hell…only because she is a woman? Shocked, Vidya's mother finds it sad & weird that a husband's actions could reduce a wife to the point that she would think being a widow was better than being married. [...]
